Our client is a mid-sized HVAC and electrical engineering consulting firm specializing in designing innovative and sustainable solutions for commercial and industrial buildings, including data centers. They are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their growing team and play a key role in expanding their client base and driving revenue growth.

What will you do?
- Conduct market research and develop a strategic business development plan, in collaboration with the CEO and management team
- Keep abreast of market trends and adapt business development strategies accordingly
- Canvass potential customers to diversify the sectors and customers served by the company
- Build strong, lasting relationships with customers, aiming for customer loyalty and the development of long-term partnerships
- Ensure customer satisfaction and support project managers when problems arise with their customers
- Coordinate sales and customer follow-up efforts with the team
- Collaborate with the team for the collection of accounts receivable and address dispute cases
- In collaboration with the team, draft competitive service offers, adapted to customer needs and aimed at achieving gross margin objectives for our projects
- Negotiate financial and contractual aspects with customers
- Increase the company’s visibility and promote its services through sustained participation in various networking events

Who are you?
- Technical or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any other relevant degree allowing a technical understanding of the services provided by the company
- Excellent knowledge of the Ontario construction market
- Have an extensive and well-established network of contacts in the construction sector with access to potential customers
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the construction field, including 5 years in a job with similar responsibilities
- Fluency in spoken and written English, bilingualism an asset
- Be available to regularly represent the company at various events (day or evening)
- Be prepared to travel regularly to meet with existing partners and potential clients
- Member of Professional Engineers Ontario (an asset)
