Project Manager – Planning
Location: Vaughan, in-office 5 days a week
Salary: $150,000 to $200,000 plus monthly car allowance

What will you do?
This role sits in the planning and pre-construction department. There are 5 sub-divisions and this role is for the Planning division.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, in a non-hierarchical work environment fostering a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrate leadership through action, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Interface with partners, internal stakeholders, government, and non-governmental agencies to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
Risk Management and Strategic Oversight:
- Review, comment, and identify risks in planning, design, construction, commercial, technical, and other ancillary agreements.
- Provide strategic oversight and direction to pre-construction, building, transportation, and civil teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Oversee and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Deliverable Management:
- Oversee pre-construction, building, transportation, and civil deliverables, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project requirements.
- Provide direction to teams and ensure strategic deliverable continuity.
Financial and Contract Management:
- Interface with cost consultants, internal procurement, accounting, and trade contractors to oversee and validate proformas, cost-share agreements, and other financial aspects of the project.
Schedule Management and Reporting:
- Lead milestone forecasting, scheduling, and deliverable reporting.
- Manage milestone schedules and provide comprehensive project reporting.
Who are you?
- Minimum 6 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Mandatory: Experience completing at least 1 full construction cycle, 2 highly preferred.
- Experience working with Governmental agencies, especially TTC, Metrolink etc. and General Contractors
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
