Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing tech platform backed by Shopify, is revolutionizing the plumbing, kitchen, and bathroom showroom industry across the US and Canada. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the expansion of our platform by establishing partnerships with key showrooms.

What will you do?
- Partnership Development: Identify, build, and nurture strategic partnerships with manufacturers, with a focus on major players in retail plumbing. Develop a robust network of suppliers willing to list their products on our platform.
- Onboarding Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive onboarding strategy to seamlessly integrate manufacturers onto the platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with manufacturers, understanding their needs, and providing ongoing support to ensure their success on the platform.
- Platform Adoption: Drive manufacturers to list their products on the platform, emphasizing the benefits of increased visibility, streamlined processes, and access to a broader network of distributors and stakeholders.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics, providing insights that can inform the development of the platform.
- Financial Performance: Collaborate with internal teams to set and achieve revenue targets, focusing on the growth and expansion of the manufacturer base.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and technical teams to align category strategies with overall business goals, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to attracting and retaining manufacturers.
Who are you?
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in category management, business development, or a related role, with a proven track record of building partnerships, particularly with manufacturers.
- In-depth knowledge of the plumbing industry, specifically within retail plumbing, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by manufacturers in the sector.
- In-depth understanding of the plumbing, kitchen, and bathroom showroom landscape in the US, with proven success in growing accounts nationally.
- Established network and relationships with significant players in retail plumbing and related industries.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and persuade manufacturers to join and actively participate on the platform.
- Comfortable working remotely and managing relationships with manufacturers across the US.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data to drive category performance.
