What will you do?

  • Develop accurate demand forecasts for different brands, various product categories, SKUs, and sales channels, consistently improving demand visibility to ensure the right product, at the right place, at the right time
  • Must assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating/maintaining the demand forecast, including historical order, item master data, market and macro-economic trends, seasonality, promotions, and product life-cycle management
  • Effectively communicate regularly with internal teams including Marketing, Sales and Product Planning and use historical order/ship data, POS trends and promotional activities to develop the best possible demand forecast for new and existing products
  • Analyze historical inventory cycles and distribution channel forecasts
  • Apply statistical methodology in analyzing data trends to improve forecast accuracy
  • Oversee planning for all inventory by reviewing daily order report and maintain inventory levels by locations (4 warehouse), and demand
  • Identify, communicate and escalate concerns to management to ensure incoming product is sufficient to meet demand plans
  • Perform financial reconciliation against the financial plan, lead efforts to address financial plan gaps as well as demand-supply gaps and improving key metric performance such as forecast accuracy and forecast bias
  • Review forecast accuracy and understand root cause when variability exceeds the norm to determine best methods to improve forecast or hold cross functional teams accountable to meet demand forecasts
  • Analyze order fill reports and daily inventory status. Analyze and update forecasting data weekly, maintaining a rolling demand forecast
  • Utilize BI and other tools to ensure data integrity and ease of view
  • Ensure accurate data is populating MRP to support purchasing requirements.
  • Lead the demand planning process and monthly Demand Review meetings and coordinate / consolidate plans with other planners/buyers, to ensure the process is effective and runs efficiently

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a Forecasting or Supply Chain environment
  • Solid understanding of demand planning methodologies, statistical forecasting techniques, and inventory management concepts
  • Analytical mindset with excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Excel is required (including pivot tables & VLookups; advanced macros a plus)
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and working knowledge of ERP software and demand planning software – in particular, demand solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in forecasting and inventory management
